Five things on Friday volume 16
SOAKING UP WINTER
I’m making the most of the colder weather as the cooler temperatures mean better sleep, more energy and coffee always just tastes extra special in winter.
Plus a sunny day in winter just feels so amazing. Yesterday I did some gardening in my lunch hour and simply pulling out weeds and picking up leaves in the sunshine felt so good.
making time for a fitness routine
This is my 3rd month of prioritizing workouts. I started in May and it was a great month, I had less workouts unfortunately in June but I’m hoping July will be better (so far I’ve done 7 workouts).
Yesterday it was after work, today I managed a 30 minute run during my lunchtime.
Something that works for me is to write things down. This morning I added ‘30 minute workout’ to my to-do list and it has been there for hours - a subtle reminder - telling me to do something for myself.
MOVIE NIGHT
Mark and I have been making Friday nights our movie night.
During the week I go through the movie options on Netflix and then we choose something on Fridays that we haven’t seen. It has become a fun weekend tradition of ours and we get snacks to enjoy with the film.
cute plant holder
I could not resist this adorable plant holder at Sheet Street. This weekend I’m going to go choose a plant for it!
Threads
Have you joined Threads on Insta? I sometimes spend more time there than scrolling on Instagram.
One thing I’ve found is that if I’m watching a documentary it is often already been discussed on Threads and so it is easy to read about the ending before I’ve watched it.
But I find Threads entertaining at times, so shout if you are on there.
