a rare leopard sighting

On our 23rd drive (over 100 hours of driving), with just 2 drives remaining, we spotted this beautiful leopard. Just 20 minutes prior to this, a little further up the road, we were told that we had just missed a huge male leopard that was perched in a tree for over 1 hour, so you can just imagine our joy when we found this female with the most captivating dark eyes.

She was very curious and even chased some ground squirrels before making her was to the waterhole to quench her thirst - nature has a special way to reward persistence.
