Balance - my word for the year update

my 2025 word for the year is balance

Now felt like a good time to do an update on how I incorporated this into my daily life this year so far.

what i’ve done

I’ve ditched the ‘all or nothing’ attitude and prioritised balance whenever possible. Small steps regularly is better than no steps at all.

I have made a point of taking a lunch break most work days. Even if it is just to go have a cup of tea away from my desk.

Creativity, rest and self-care are always on my to-do list and I make time for this when I can.

Stopped feeling guilty if I say no (still a work in progress) but I’m getting better at this!

Switching off at the end of a work day - logging off and reminding myself tomorrow is another day.

Listening to my body. Sometimes I have the energy for a run, sometimes a longer but slower run/walk is what I need.
