Book review - Don't let him in by Lisa Jewell

Whenever I see a new book from Lisa Jewell I need to have it. She is one of my favourite Authors for suspense filled thrillers and I devour her books quickly each time.

This book took me a couple of chapters to get into because there are alot of characters. That said, it wasn’t long before I was hooked and had to find out more.

Ash Swann is mourning the tragic loss of her father Paddy. His death has left a huge hole in her family and while Ash is battling her own issues, she worries about her mother Nina.

When Nick Radcliffe enters Nina’s life, he claims to have worked with Paddy years before. Nina and Nick become an item and Nina seems to be happy for the first time since Paddy’s death. For Ash something doesn’t add up. Nick seems too perfect and so she decides to do some investigating into his past.

Martha is married to Alistair who is the perfect husband and father. If only Alistair didn’t disappear for days on end with his phone off. If only she knew where he went.

Martha doesn’t want to go through his things and snoop but something doesn’t add up.

The book is also told from a male perspective. 4 years previously as he is preparing to leave his wife, then over the years until the present.

This book didn’t keep guessing as much as Lisa’s previous books but I did enjoy the way the story unfolded and found the main characters kept things interesting.
