Coffee chat

if we had a coffee chat

I’d tell that last year this time I was so stressed out that I found soaking up the festive season wasn’t easy. Hubby was flying overseas for business and I was going to stay on my own at an airbnb in Cape Town. The stress beforehand took all my focus but the actual week (once hubby had arrived overseas, once I’d unpacked and settled into the apartment I stayed in) was fine. How often do we build something up in our minds, wrap it in worry and then let it hang over us in a cloud of uncertainty?

IF WE had a coffee chat

I’d tell you that I’m soaking up all the festive feels and planning on putting up the Christmas tree soon. Growing up we would wait until the 1st December but I’m planning on taking the tree and decorations out of the garage this evening and getting the decorating done this weekend. Yesterday we had mince pies for breakfast and I have zero regrets!

Earlier this week I bought the cutest Christmas decoration that arrives unassembled and I look forward to putting it together. I know it is early but enjoying a season and finding whimsy that sparks joy has no timeline.

I’d ask you how often you don’t finish a book. I find it so difficult to DNF a book at times!

IF WE HAD A COFFEE CHAT

I’d ask you if you have any festive traditions that you enjoy each year. We are doing something different this year and I’m looking forward to changing things up a bit!

IF WE HAD A COFFEE CHAT

I’d ask you how you are finding NaBloPoMo (if you are taking part). I’ll be honest I’ve had days where I hadn’t planned a post and really had to think up something at 21h00 to blog about. I wish I had planned better but I decided on the last day of October to take part!
