5 Things on Friday volume 13
Hello weekend. I thought I’d check in with a Five things on Friday post.
TODAY IT IS 9 YEARS SINCE MY OUMA PASSED AWAY
Honestly I don’t know how the years have gone by so quickly. My Ouma was my last living grandparent and she lived to 90.
My Ouma loved tea and the photo above was taken years ago but those tea cups and saucers and the tablecloth were from her. Later this evening I’ll make tea in them and have something sweet - it always makes me feel close to my Gran who also had a sweet tooth.
first week back after leave
Funny how quickly we get back into a routine. Caught up on e-mails and back into the swing of things. I’ve caught up on all the washing - just need to get the ironing done now. I’m one of those people that actually enjoy ironing - I find it very relaxing!
THIS WEEKEND I’M DEVOTING TIME TO NABLOPOMO
I need to reply to comments, visit many blogs and catch up and also plan for next week. So I’m glad it is a quiet weekend with not much planned and I can get alot done!
summer is here
Today was a warm day and the heat is supposed to continue tomorrow. I do hope it cools down a bit this evening as I struggle to sleep in hot weather.
With warm days we do see more of the little Agama Lizard who lurks about in our garden. I find these Lizards so fascinating and love seeing them soaking up the sun!
back into my reading vibe
I’m almost finished “The turn of the key” by Ruth Ware and will have read 3 books in less than 3 weeks. Being on leave I had more time but since getting back, I’m making time to read a few chapters each day.
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend.
